Eurovision is betraying the people who need it most. I won't be going back until something changes.
Eurovision has been more than just a song contest to me – it’s the bedrock of my identity, a source of joy, connection, personal growth and about 90% of my solid friend group. However, following the results this year, it's a show that's picked complicity over courage, propaganda over empowerment, and I no longer recognise it as the safe space I grew up with and desperately need.
